Another day in paradise…painting plein air at the Big Sur Coast on a sunny Autumn day. 7 Scop members braved a stunning morning at the (no facilities) parking lot with an awesome view by Rocky Creek Bridge. Thank you Coraly and Michele for this new location!
Wouldn’t you have guessed it – just as we got ready to pack up, Chinese National TV Beijing shows up! You just never know what is going to happen when you are out there painting… they filmed a couple of us painting for an educational travel program, and who knows, SCOP might be on Chinese TV! Maybe the program will end up here?
After our morning adventure, and a much needed break we headed to Point Lobos for more glorious painting time… some of us were hot in the morning, and freezing in the shade in the afternoon ~ the eternal challenge of the Plein Air Delight!
Yikes! Love that picture of the Chinese film crew:) Great post Karin – I sure slept well after all of that adventure – hot and cold – crowds and solitude.
Karin, I love the photo of the Chinese photographer with his camera. He was right in your face. My afternoon painting had a mishap. My setup couldn’t handle the wind and I ended up with my turp container spilling out all over my painting. So two hours of work destroyed. Yet more plein adventure! But it sure was a glorious day and many thanks to Jean for driving.
Ahhh…. sorry Lorraine! Glad you had a good day anyway.:-)
