Whenever I would try to find a magazine article I read in one of my art magazines, I would spend the next hour searching. But I’ve come up with a way of keeping and organizing them that is working quite well.
When I run into an article I find useful, I rip it out of the magazine and put it into a presentation folder. (Those are those folders with pages of plastic sleeves. I use the Japanese folders from Maido.) I keep several folders on different topics, including “color harmonies” & “favorites” which contain artwork that I use for inspiration. I throw the clipping in a manilla folder in the back of the folder and when I have the time I slip them into the sleeves. Now I have my own “magazines” with only those articles I am interested in.
Eunice,
I had no idea you were so organized. I also tear articles out of magazines but I’ve never found a really good retrieval system. So I may give this a try.
